Their fusion of rave and indie is one of the things that makes them unique, with a new album always eagerly awaited. Fans need not wait much longer
It’s called “grime” and it‘s the sound that sums up modern English urban music, which is the result of a meeting of everything from hip hop to soul and funk. The new album by grime star Tinie Tempah is a microcosm of this scene – it’s energy, rhymes, restlessness. ‘Demonstration’ is preceded by single ‘Children of the Sun’ where the overwhelming vitality of Tinie’s duet with John Martin from the Swedish House Mafia blows you away.
‘Demonstration’ is a collection as diverse as it is particular – the unique vision of an artist traversing the metropolis in search of a global language, hence Tinie’s successes over the summer at the likes of Ibiza and Mallorca Rocks. Always one to catch, a tour is on the way with dates including December 4 Dublin, 5 in Manchester, 9 in Glasgow, and 18 in London.
