Their fusion of rave and indie is one of the things that makes them unique, with a new album always eagerly awaited. Fans need not wait much longer
Within the bustling urban contemporary scene there are artists who, by their sheer presence, are able to make a song their own.
One of these special people is Pharrell, who looks like he is going own 2014 not just with hip hop but also his unique take on soul and funk after his interpretation of Daft Punk’s ‘Get Lucky’. Now Pharrell returns to seduce the international audience with another mind blowing collaboration, this time with Diplo’s Major Lazer. After Major Lazer’s stonking album of 2013 ‘Free the Universe’ (in which Diplo invited Bruno Mars and Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend to collaborate) the DJ project will be releasing an EP with five songs, ‘Apocalypse Soon’, for release in late February.
And one of those songs, ‘Aerosol Can’, is performed by Pharrell. A match made in the heavenly crucible of today’s urban scene.
