The new edition of the festival has been confirmed for September 4 to 7
Into the wild
A kind of Lovebox through the looking glass, the Wilderness Festival is organised by the team that brought you one of the UK’s leading urban music events. But that doesn’t mean just a couple of DJs in a field. Wilderness describes itself as A Celebration of Arts and Outdoors in the wilds of England and it means it. Set in Cornbury Park, an 800 year old deer park ringed by ornamental lakes and surrounded by 1700 acres of ancient forest, visitors can truly feel they are getting closer to nature, albeit alongside music, theatre, film and all sorts of other arty stuff! This year’s festival, running between August 10 to 12, is built around an Alice in Wonderland theme, so look forward to plenty of unexpected corners and perhaps among the Mad Hatters and Cheshire Cats you will stumble upon acts including Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Wilco, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Spiritualized, The Temper Trap, and Lianne La Havas. Or simply dance the night away to Horse Meat Disco, featuring DJ Severino and his suitcase full of delights and hard glitter direct from Studio 54.
