Their fusion of rave and indie is one of the things that makes them unique, with a new album always eagerly awaited. Fans need not wait much longer
It’s the most important night of the year for those most ardent of clubbers – the DJs! Yes it’s the night of September 25 at Pacha in Ibiza where there will be the night-long DJ Awards which see out the last days of summer disco and reward its stars. Now in its 16th year this is a truly unique opportunity to admire the biggest names in electronic music in a friendly atmosphere which promises surprise guests and unprecedented, often impromptu, performances.
There are many categories for the awards which attract connoisseurs from the world over. For electro and deep house there will be Afrojack, Axwell, David Guetta, Dixon, Kerry Chandler and Jamie Jones, who appeared at one of the stand-out Tia Maria parties, while dubstep will be represented by Chase & Statuts, Skream and many more. A prize will also go to the best live artist, with names like A Guy Called Gerald, Ame and Guy Gerber, while participating in the international section are Luciano, Sven Vath, Tiesto and others.
As usual artists will perform together in a festive atmosphere for which more than anything the Awards are an excuse to meet up before returning to the world’s dancefloors.
