DJ Alfredo

Argentine DJ Alfredo, born Alfredo Fiorito, is widely credited with introducing British DJs Paul Oakenfold and Danny Rampling to what they christened the Balearic Beat back in the day – in this case the late 1980s. DJ Alfredo’s set at Amnesia was a synthesis of house, Euro pop, rock, indi, new wave and disco that refused to sacrifice the beauty of its sound for the straight-jacket of genre, and his ever-eclectic set is still viewed as one of the most authentic expressions of the true Balearic Beat on the island. As one of the fathers of the Balearic Beat, his appearances are sought out by those in the know. Look out for flyers handed revealing the locations of his secret sets. As father of Jaime, he has formed The Heritage Project, a unique father and son collaboration creating the best of music new and old. After a party marking the launch of their new release at Boutique Hostal Salinas, DJ Alfredo will be appearing at Ibiza Rocks House, Pykes Hotel, another icon of Ibiza: the hotel pool featured in the video for Wham’s Club Tropicana, and the rest was history…
