Boards of Canada

Ethereal, dreamy, enveloping sounds to accompany the sun sinking into the sea, sunsets accompanied by music that manages to be both electronic and “natural”.

With the season of sunset parties approaching and the chill out/ beach bars of Ibiza preparing to welcome the crowds, comes the highly anticipated new album by Boards of Canada, the British band who have produced some of the most unforgettable music chill out tunes. The marketing of ‘Tomorrow’s Harvest’ has been shrouded in mystery similar to the strategy used for Daft Punk’s recent ‘Random Access Memories’ which swiftly topped the charts. Although Boards of Canada are still on the fringes of mainstream they have fostered a strong cult following, slowly but surely cultivating attention for songwriting that has moved beyond the abstract to pack an emotional punch.  Their albums have become chill out classics. The new album is the result of years of studio work to develop tracks that perfect the chill out experience. So sit back, relax, and if you’re not actually experiencing an Ibiza sunset, well, let the music paint the picture.
