It was not only one of the most creative records of last year, but it was the only one that came with a dress code.
The influence of New York disco punk James Murphy, who produced Arcade Fire’s ‘Reflektor’, was evident in their request that fans attending their arena shows on the album tour follow a certain dress code. Formal attire or fancy dress were would be preferred, they said, perhaps to be in full harmony with the band themselves. Although they did later add that it would not be compulsory!
Of all the dates, it’s 27 June that really stands out as they headline the UK’s Glastonbury Festival and will be joined at the festival, that runs from 25 to 29, by some of the biggest names in the business. But Glastonbury will not be the only chance to see them live this summer. Concerts include Paris (Zenith, June 3), London (Earls Court, June 6 and 7), New York (Barclays Center, Brooklyn, August 22 and 23).
